Alpha Omicron Pi
Alpha Omicron Pi's greatest strength is our members... unique as individuals, yet bound together by the common bond of friendship. Since 1897, over 126,000 women have found fun and friendship in the sisterhood of AOII. Our members have a place to call home, a place to find a friend, and a place to be themselves. We also support our members through programming and leadership development. Our desire is to help our members become the best they can be - personally, professionally and philanthropically.
Thanks to the vision of many remarkable women, AOII enjoyed tremendous success during our first 100 years. Alpha Omicron Pi has chartered 178 collegiate chapters, and over 320 alumnae chapters located throughout the United States and Canada. Our members enjoy friendship in AOII for a lifetime. As we boldly focus on our second century, we envision a future even more glorious than our past.
Chapter Update
After the success and fun we had in 2023, the Alpha Phi chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi has high aspirations for 2024. As we look back on the past 107 years this chapter has been around, we are so excited for 2024 and to continue to grow while supporting our local and national philanthropic efforts and campus community. Our recruitment in the last year has grown exponentially, we initiated 35 new members in the Fall of 2023 and initiated 14 this past spring. We are so impressed with the ways that these women have supported our chapter and how they will contribute to the chapter in the future.
Regarding Fraternity and Sorority Life, our philanthropy is what we hold near and dear to our hearts. Our annual Run for the Roses 5k raised $4,066, contributing to over $7,201 raised last year for the Arthritis Foundation. We require 20 service hours per academic year; in 2023 our members volunteered over 1,650 hours. Our sisters volunteer extensively in the community, supporting organizations like Bozeman Health and Royal Family Kids camps. We collaborate with other FSL houses on campus to support organizations such as Family Promise and Students Against Sexual Assault. Everything we did was a great opportunity for us to spread awareness about juvenile arthritis and provided us with an opportunity for our family and friends to gather for a great cause.
This past year we have treasured the moments with our Fraternity and Sorority Life Community! In the Spring we held our annual Guy of AOII competition where all the fraternities had a participant who took part in challenges such as trivia and talent show. In the fall we had our sweetheart competition where we spent time bonding with our friends in the Fraternity community. In the Fall we also had a homecoming float with Kappa Sigma and had a member become an ambassador of involvement.
We are so excited about what this year has to hold for us and the memories that are to be made.
