Academic Technology & Outreach - assists MSU in advancing excellence in teaching, learning, research and public
engagement.
Outreach - an academic outreach arm of Montana State University, dedicated to sharing MSU's
vast resources with the citizens of our communities at the local, state, regional,
national and international level.
American Indian Research Opportunities (AIRO) - consortium of Montana's seven Tribal Colleges and Montana State University in Bozeman,
dedicated to providing opportunities for American Indian students in career fields
where they are significantly underrepresented.
Center for American Indian and Rural Health Equity (CAIRHE) - CAIRHE investigators educate MSU undergraduate and graduate students and tribal
college students by involving them as research assistants in project work, including
fieldwork and service learning in Montana's rural communities.
Community Engagement Core - Montana INBRE relies on a strong Community Engagement Core to build effective community-investigator
partnerships across Montana. Originally known as the "Montana INBRE Community Engagement
Core," the resource morphed into a joint collaboration with the Center for American
Indian and Rural Health Equity (CAIRHE), and is now called the Montana IDeA Community
Engagement Core (CEC).
Council of American Indian Programs (CAIP) - CAIP has representatives from over 33 programs across campus that provide support
for American Indian student success at MSU. Julian Collins, Director of TRiO Student
Support Services, and Lisa Perry, Director of American Indian/Alaska Native Student
Success Services, are the current co-chairs of CAIP.
EMPower - promotes the success of underrepresented minorities and women in engineering and
other fields of STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics).
Montana IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence - a collaborative network of Ph.D.-granting institutions, baccalaureate schools and
tribal colleges that invests in Montana's biomedical research capacity and workforce
pipeline.
Outreach & Engagement Council - strategically champions engagement at MSU through outreach, leadership, and service
to fulfill the land-grant mission.
Science Math Resource Center – Located within the Department of Education, SMRC specializes in connecting MSU
researchers to Montana’s K-12 education community, with a special emphasis on reaching
schools, teachers and students in Montana’s most rural communities. SMRC works closely
with the Montana Afterschool Alliance and other statewide networks for informal education,
including libraries, museums, environmental educators and other youth outreach programs.
SMRC is home to the Montana Girls STEM Collaborative and is building a network for citizen science initiatives.
TRiO Student Support Service program - The goal of TRiO SSS is to increase the college retention and graduation rates
of its participants, and to inform the academic community of best practices and strategies
for retaining and graduating all students.
