"WOW, I just want to say how incredibly thankful I am for you and the CABLE program. It truly has been so amazing and really makes me feel loved and like I have a place here. Already from the program I met such good friends and the community is just awesome.

It is so cool being able to connect with students that are just as goal orientated and high energy like me. I was just talking with some of my girl friends (whom I met through CABLE) about just how amazing it is. Like truly I cannot express enough my gratitude for this program. CABLE made me feel so at home here, I appreciate you guys so much!"

Parent's Corner

Transitioning from high school to college can be scary but learning communities ease that transition by making it easy to make friends and form study groups. Building a community at MSU is key to being successful in college; the purpose of CABLE is to make building that community easy.

Research shows that students who are well supported and who form strong connections to the campus community are more likely to graduate on time. CABLE builds a community of students through a fun pre-college experience including whitewater rafting, a learning community that makes it easy to make new friends, and on-going academic support like tutoring and workshops to support students throughout their first year.
