Community Building TRIO SSS Fall Kickoff

When: August 28, 2025 from 4pm - 6pm 

Where: Strand Union Ballroom A

For New and returning TRIO students! 

Join the TRIO SSS Staff to meet and mingle with all new and returning TRIO students to kick off the semester on the right foot! Food and entertainment will be provided as well as resources you will be able to utilize during the semester. 

This is a required event for TRIO SSS Scholars.

Community Building Community Event - Bouldering Night

When: September 17, 2025 from 5pm - 7pm 

Where: Student Wellness Center

Have you been interested in learning how to rock climb? Join TRIO SSS and Campus Rec in the Student Wellness Center for a night of learning how to boulder on the indoor rock climbing wall. All experience levels are welcome!

Open Office Advising Registration Breakfast

When: October 24, 2025 from 8am - 11am

Where: TRIO Office

Did you know that TRIO Scholars get early registration for classes? Swing by the TRIO Office between 8am and 11am on October 24th for help with registering for classes as well as to grab some breakfast before heading to your classes for the day.

Community Building Community Event - Halloween Party

When: October 30, 2025 from 5pm - 7pm

Come and watch a halloween-themed movie, eat some pizza, and paint some pumpkins to celebrate Halloween. Costumes are encouraged, but not necessary!

Have you ever wondered how the tunnel system beneath the university works? Join fellow TRIO Scholars and Facilities Services to tour and learn about the MSU tunnels. 

Workshop FAFSA Workshop

The FAFSA opens on October 1st and we want to make sure you can get it done without too much challenge. With support from the Office of Financial Aid, swing by the TRIO Office to start and complete your FAFSA for the 2026-27 school year. 

Open Office Advising TRIO Breakfasts Tuesday/Wednesday Every Week

Come join the TRIO staff and your fellow TRIO Scholars for breakfast each week.

When: 8:00am - 11:00am alternating Tuesdays and Wednesdays 

Where: TRIO SSS Offices, 314 Reid Hall

Stop into the office for food, juice, and coffee in the middle of the week! Each week the the TRIO Student Support Services program holds a walk-in breakfast for TRIO Scholars. The breakfast doubles as walk-in advising hours where you can be sure to meet with TRIO staff and have any questions answered. It also a great time to meet and interact with your fellow TRIO Scholars. If you need a place to study, or meet a group for class the TRIO Breakfasts are great for you.

We are alternating between Tuesday and Wednesday each week so that we can make sure to have an open time at least twice a month. So, bring a healthy appetite, any questions or concerns you may have, and a positive attitude to the TRIO Offices!
