Degree Application Indicators
Click each dropdown for an explanation of Degree Application Indicators as they relate to auditing and awarding degrees.
An Application for Graduation has been submitted via the online portal in My Info and is in the queue for review by the Office of the Registrar or the Graduate School.
The student is now a Degree Candidate for the semester in which they applied. The Application for Graduation has been uploaded by either the Registrar’s Office of the Graduate School and a registration audit is pending or complete.
Student should review their Degree Works notes for details:
A “registration audit found no discrepancy...”indicates that the student is on-track to graduate at the time of the audit.
A “registration audit found a discrepancy...” indicates a known issue with the students progress toward degree and will require action/resolution before the student may graduate.
Degree Candidates should monitor their Degreeworks notes throughout the semester and should review the Commencement website for details on:
- How to RSVP for commencement
- How to ensure their diploma is mailed to the proper address
- Specific times related to commencement and expectations regarding line-up and regalia.
- Attending Graduation Fair prior to commencement.
A “final” audit of the student’s academic progress will occur after grades are posted (the week after the semester ends). Most candidates will be reviewed and advanced to either awarded or pending within several weeks after the end of the term.
Congratulations! Your Degree has been awarded and this notation is codified on the student transcript.
More information on Diplomas (timelines and mailing addresses) can be found on our Diploma website.
