A great place to call home, University Student Apartments is conveniently located on the outskirts of campus, allowing tenants to feel connected while also providing a quiet community atmosphere. Our community is large enough to afford many opportunities to connect with individuals from all backgrounds, yet small enough to feel welcome and supported.
24-Hour Staff Availability
We take care of you morning, noon, and night! When our main office is closed, our on-call team is available to help you with everything from checking in for the first time, assisting with lock outs, assessing maintenance issues, and more.
Reasonable Rates & Month-to-Month Contracts
We offer affordable rates that make it easier to focus on academics than your rent payment. When you’re ready to move out, you’re not locked into a yearly contract.
Diverse Community
A majority of MSU’s international student population lives in University Student Apartments. We house tenants from Montana and many from out-of-state. We are home to veterans, single parents, undergraduate students, graduate students, non-traditional students, and more!
Year-Round Events
We host a minimum of five all-community events each year varying from holiday events to fun in the sun. Each neighborhood Community Assistant also holds monthly activities for you to meet some of the other tenants living in your neighborhood!

Strandvold "Stran" Knudson

Originally from the Gallatin Valley, Stran graduated with Honors from Montana State University in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science. Stran has been with University Student Housing since 2021, and is excited to continue serving the campus community. In his free time, Stran loves to recreate and enjoy many of the outdoor activities Montana has to offer!
Madelyn "MJ" Puccillo

Originally from Chicago, IL, MJ graduated from Elmhurst University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders & Art. She has previously worked as a Resident Advisor for 2 years, and a Head Resident for 1 year at her undergraduate institution. She frequently volunteers at local voice therapy group and assists in providing free hearing screenings for at-risk individuals. While still pursuing a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology, she wanted to assist with community development and student support at Montana State University. She is looking forward to making meaningful connections with students and providing a sense of community for all identities at MSU. She is extremely excited to be a part of the close knit community at Roskie Hall this upcoming school year. Outside of work, MJ enjoys all things crafts and art as well as remaining active (e.g., swimming, hiking, skateboarding, ice skating).
