I am Ian Issaia McRyhew. I was born in Apple Valley, California in the Mojave Desert in 1977. I was raised in Butte, Montana and graduated from Butte High School in 1995. I have lived in Polson, Montana since 2005. My wife Susan and my daughter Victoria and I ran out of gas in Big Arm on Flathead lake, and we have been here ever since. Victoria and her husband Charlie have blessed us with three granddaughters Nevaeh, Harmony and Serenity. I live for my family and I am striving to become a wildlife conservation ecologist to try and counterbalance the destructive nature of humans, to provide a better future for them. I graduated from Salish Kootenai College in 2021 and received my Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries, a Bachelor of Science in Forest Management, and an Associates in Fine Arts. I am now attending Montana State University in pursuit of a Master of Science in the Land Resources and Environmental Sciences Department.

Trevor's thesis is titled "The Critical Role of ATP in Sensing and Eliminating Viral Infections".

Kendall's research combined archeological, ethnohistorical, paleoecological and geospatial science approaches to examine a high-elevation bison drive-line on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation, contributing to the efforts of the Blackfeet Tribal Historic Preservation Office in cultural landscape preservation. 

Stephanann's research focused on the involvement of the gut microbiome, brain and metabolism in neurodegeneration and symptoms observed in the neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disease Familial dysautonomia. 

Lila's research focused on making connections between chronic stress, diabetes, and the microbiome in Native American populations. 

Jessica's research focused on investigating the impacts of projected warmer growing seasons on Montana's native forbs and their associated arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi.

Kyle's research focused on the dynamics of stars and galaxies. 

Mariah's research focused on the initiation and development of the Mesozoic Sacramento sedimentary basin in northern California.

Latrice’s research focused on organic matter and carbon in soil, and specifically, the benefits to soil from the reintroduction of bison (iin-ni) to their traditional grazing landscapes on the Blackfeet Reservation.

Zach's research focused on the association of fire and herbicide control strategies on the invasive annual grass Ventenata dubia, as well as incorporating geospatial data and tools such as remote sensing and GIS to help detect and monitor species of concern.

Trisheena focused on applying research in microbiology, including on the SARS-CoV-2 virus, to health in Indian communities.
