Montana 4-H includes a special program for youth ages 5 to 7 called Cloverbuds. Youth work with other children on 4-H activities from a structured curriculum that is fun, hands-on and discovery-oriented. Youth of this age group enroll ONLY in this project to explore animal and traditional projects, but can’t enroll in them. Through Cloverbuds, children develop age-appropriate skills and abilities. Guidelines for this project differ from those of traditional 4-H program; all Cloverbud activities are non-competitive.

Each Cloverbud Activity Book is designed to use for one year. Rotate through books in the three years a member may be a Cloverbud. Cloverbud Activity Books introduce a variety of 4-H areas. The booklets provide activities in Animal Sciences/Animal Life, Visual Arts, Family, Home, Health, Science and Natural Resources. The record sheet is included in the project book.

4-H Cloverbud Activity Books A, B, and C can be downloaded from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Extension Cloverbuds webpage.
