Stay Home While You’re Sick
• Stay home and away from others if you have respiratory symptoms.
• Return to normal activities when symptoms are improving and you have been fever free for 24 hours without       medication.
• For the next 5 days after you return: wear a mask in shared spaces, wash hands often, improve ventilation, give   people space, consider testing before being around high-risk individuals.

What You Can Try to Feel Better
• Rest and stay hydrated.
• Use acetaminophen or ibuprofen for fever or aches.
• Honey, tea, or lozenges for sore throat or cough.
• Saline spray or a humidifier for congestion.
• Over the counter cold and flu medicines if helpful.

When to See a Medical Provider
• Chest pain, shortness of breath, fainting, or confusion.
• Fever lasting more than 3 days.
• You are higher risk due to medical conditions, immune suppression, or pregnancy.
• Symptoms are not improving after several days or you have questions about treatment.

Early testing and antiviral treatment may be options for some students.
