School of Architecture Computer Lab & Undergraduate Studio: Cheever Hall
Description of Request
Submitted By: Dean Adams
To address continued enrollment growth (approximately 20% annually) and meet National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) accreditation standards, the School of Architecture requests to relocate its computer lab from Cheever 207 to Cheever 228. This move will enable a studio space reconfiguration: the undergraduate studio currently in Cheever 145 will move to Cheever 207, and the graduate studio will shift to Cheever 145.
Cheever 228, soon to be vacated by University Information Technology (UIT), is move-in ready with necessary infrastructure and security in place. UIT will assist with lab relocation and setup. The space will support 10–12 student workstations and helps resolve immediate space challenges while supporting program accreditation.
