Purpose of the discussion is to determine the proper classifications for Animal Bioscience Building (ABB) rooms 134 and 138.

ABB 134 has historically been classified as a conference room, but is set up as a classroom and is primarily used as such. Therefore, the classification will change from conference room to classroom in all systems of record.

ABB 138 is also classified as a conference room, but after an audit and discussing its use with the primary user (Department of Animal & Range Sciences) it has been determined that the space is best maintained as a conference room.

The revised space classifications are more appropriate to these physical spaces as it will increase their utilization and better meet the space needs of the university.

Space Management Committee unanimously approved the revised space classifications described above. In accordance with the Space Management Policy, the conference room ABB 138 will be scheduled using the University's preferred scheduling software/application. The classroom ABB 134 will be scheduled by the Office of the Registrar, with scheduling priority given to Animal & Range Sciences department.
