11-06-2020 Testing Services Temporary Office Space
Description of Request
Submitted By: Mary Kate McCarney, Director of Testing Services
Testing Services requests the temporary use of an office in the basement of Renne Library in which support functions and administrative work can be performed while they prepare to accommodate testing needs during final exams. The summer 2019 expansion of the Testing Center created more space for students, but no additional space for staff and prep work. This issue is more challenging now due to social distancing requirements. Short-term use of an office space that can accommodate a computer and a printer would alleviate staffing/space challenges during one of the Test Center's busiest times. Additionally, the Center foresees this issue recurring in the spring and would request a spring approval for the same temporary allocation with exact dates to be determined between Testing Services and CPDC.
Resolution
Date: November 6, 2020
Space Management Committee approved the allocation of Renne 053 for use by Testing Services during busy periods coinciding with finals week, one of the Testing center's busiest times. Space Planning and Management will work with Testing Services to plan for exact dates of use in the spring term and any subsequent term thereafter, and will inform the committee of the dates as they are set.
