Elementary

Sensing for Science curriculum (K-2) - A booklet and printable handouts for students in grades K-2 (and adaptable for higher grades) to explore the concept of sensors and how they help us understand our environment.

Upper Elementary - Middle School

Fire Science Coloring & Activity Page - One side features an illustration of a managed forest with fire managers initiating a prescribed burn, while a drone and rover--equipped with environmental sensors, scout the area and a teacher and a student at a nearby school use an air quality monitor. The back page has short summaries of each of the four SMART FIRES research thrusts and three questions for students to consider.
