Blackstone Launchpad
The LaunchPad is a campus resource for MSU students, faculty, and alumni focused or interested
in entrepreneurship and innovation. Key resources include consults, mentorship, networking,
and signature events including the Big Idea Challenge and the $100K Venture Competition. We help the MSU community bring their ideas to life.

Montana Manufacturing Extension Center (MMEC)
Montana Manufacturing Extension Center (MMEC)
The Montana Manufacturing Extension Center is a statewide manufacturing outreach and assistance center staffed by full-time professionals with extensive experience in manufacturing and business. Housed in MSU’s Norm Asbjornson College of Engineering, MMEC serves the manufacturers of Montana by helping them assess and improve their manufacturing operations, providing trainings and workforce development, and leveraging research and technology to keep manufacturing competitive in the state. Office of Technology Translation Research (OTTR)
The Office of Technology Translation Research assists organizations in advancing technology through the Valley of Death (VoD) to
transform ideas into inventions that are then implemented by the end user. OTTR provides
direct assistance with experienced resources to catalyze technology translation to
increase speed and agility.

Technology Transfer Office (TTO)
The goals of the TTO include: establishing collaborations and working relationships between industry and MSU; licensing inventions, and serving as the economic development arm of the university.
