Course Description:
In collaboration with the faculty and clinical preceptor the clinical immersion practicum will provide a platform to support transformative learning within a selected health care setting. The course is designed to promote integration of coursework through immersion in the CNL role.
Course Objectives:
- Collaborate with and lead an interprofessional team to design and implement a capstone activity to improve or influence nursing practice, patient safety, quality, or other healthcare outcomes.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate a clinical immersion plan based on the CNL
- Conduct an interprofessional team meeting.
- Analyze aggregate data to prepare reports and justify needs for
- Demonstrate the ability to coach, delegate, and supervise the performance of procedures and processes with a focus on safety and
- Participate in development of or change in policy within a health care
Course Learning Outcomes: Upon completing this course the student will be able to:
- Create a plan that fosters a culture of safety in healthcare.
- Self-evaluate weekly CNL competency completion.
