Canvas
MSSE Instructors:
It’s time to begin thinking about and planning for the new Learning Management System
(LMS), Canvas. The hard transition will occur between spring and summer semesters
in May 2025. There will be NO smooth transition. D2L will cease to exist and Canvas
will be fully operational.
To help with the transition, here are some resources:

Note:
• Be sure to click CANVAS REQUEST from the blue menu bar at the top of the page.
If you are creating more than one practice course that can later be transferred to
your actual course when it becomes available, choose as many practice courses as you
have actual courses.
• There are also MSU created templates available to use to standardize your courses
in Canvas. When you request a practice course.
• Explore Migration Options ato.montana.edu/canvas/migrate
• There are MSU approved templates available on you have created your practice page(s).
