The Vinyl Cutter is mostly used for cutting sticker vinyl or heat transfer vinyl. Sticker vinyl is used for making stickers and heat transfer vinyl can be used to add designs and graphics to fabrics.

The Makerspace has a small selection of sticker and heat transfer vinyl available. If you require a specific color or material you will need to source your own.

There is a t-shirt heat press with jigs to press onto hats, plates, and mugs for various heat transfer projects as well. 

 

 

Software Requirements:

To use the Silhouette Cameo Vinyl Cutter, one must use a computer with Silhouette Studio software. This software is free to download and use and will run on both Mac and Windows operating systems.
