Letters and Science Advising Commons
The College of Letters and Science Academic Advisors work with current students in
CLS majors and exploring students interested in learning more about any of our 17
majors. We work in collaboration with CLS department staff and faculty to provide
students with timely and accurate information. tudents are assigned an Academic Advisor
in the CLS Advising Center at the start of their MSU experience. Most CLS students
are assigned a Faculty Advisor, in their area of study, after their first year. Depending
on the department/major, students may remain with an Academic Advisor in the CLS Advising
Center longer than their first year.
Our Academic Advisors are here to assist students in navigating their academic journey.
Advisors provide information on curriculum, graduation requirements, important deadlines,
university policies and procedures, and engagement opportunities. Academic Advisors
in the CLS Advising Center are available for by-appointment and drop-in hours to support
your academic goals. You may also contact us by emailing clsadvising@montana.edu
