Courses are categorized for IT and NON-IT Professionals. Whether you are an IT or NON-IT professional, you will have access to ALL classes. But when you choose to sign up as IT or NON-IT, it sets what you see as a “default”. That’s particularly useful for NON-IT learners who want maybe a class on Outlook or Excel, but don’t care about the innards of Cisco networking.

How to Sign Up and Get Started! 

1. Fill out the SkillSets Online Account Request Form:
   SkillSets Online Account Request Form

2. Form submission generates a helpdesk ticket.
   When you submit the request form, a helpdesk ticket is automatically created.

3. The ticket is routed through University Information Technology (UIT).
   UIT processes the request and initiates account setup.

4. You are added to the SkillSets roster.
   Once UIT completes the ticket, you will be added to the roster.

5. You will receive a confirmation email.
   This message notifies you that you’ve been added and instructs you to watch for a follow‑up email from SkillSets containing your login credentials and setup instructions.

6. Processing time is typically 1–2 days.

7. Access the SkillSets course catalog.
   Once your access is active, you can browse the full course catalog mentioned above and more. You can also create your own dashboard to explore courses and track your progress and completions.
