Wendy Carr
4-H Livestock & Youth Development, Commercial Agriculture and Large Acreage Agent
Wendy Carr is the 4-H Livestock and Youth Development, Commercial Agriculture and
Large Acreage Agent for Sanders County. Wendy grew up in Sanders County on a cattle
ranch outside of Hot Springs that has been in her family since the Homestead Days.
She holds a teaching degree in Elementary Education. Before becoming an Extension
Agent, she taught in Alaska as well as Plains, MT. 4-H and the agricultural Community
she grew up in, inspired Wendy to become an Agent and give back to the Community that
shaped her. Wendy enjoys spending time with her 3 daughters, riding horses, working
on her family's ranch, hiking and gardening. Her role includes:

Jamie Schmidt
4-H Youth and Development, Horticulture and Natural Resources Agent
Jamie looks forward to meeting the needs of the Horticulture, 4-H and Natural Resource programs while developing long-lasting relationships with community members. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Earth Science Education, a Master of Science Degree in Secondary Education, and a certificate in Sustainable Food and Farming. Her experience includes teaching High School Science, advising FFA, and assisting local producers with implementing practices to mitigate resource concerns as a soil conservationist. Outside of work, she enjoys all aspects of the natural world. Camping, hiking, and water sports with her son and husband are some of her favorite pastimes. Her role includes:
