General Best Practices

1. We encourage you to make training requests as a study commission or with the approval of the study commission. For instance, if each study commissioner reaches out to us with the same question, that will quickly deplete your technical assistance credits. Please consult as a team and then have one person reach out to our team to book technical assistance time.

2. Please do not reach out to Dan Clark or Ashley Kent directly with your technical assistance questions. If you do, your request will be redirected to our technical assistance booking page.

How to use the Online Course & Embedded Digital Resource Library

1. It is intended to help your jurisdiction's study commissioners, ex-officio and administrative support contact gain foundational education about the Local Government Review process.

Exclusive Webinars & Office Hours for General Q&A

1. Webinars and Office Hours will be hosted by the MSU Local Government Center. The first 30 minutes will be a presentation/lecture style webinar sharing pertinent information and the second 30 minutes will be designated as office hours for Q&A.

2. Topics for each webinar will be included in a calendar invite, sent via email, that will include the webinar details and the link to join virtually.

How to Use the Live Credits

1. 2 Credits for 1-hour Live Online Teams Training/Consultation (day/evening)

2. As GOLD bundle subscribers, each of your jurisdictions has 2 credits to use for live online trainings or consultations hosted by the Local Government Center. Please consult as a study commission before having 1 person from your Commission submit the form.

a. 1 Credit = 1 Hour

b. 2 Credits = 2 Hours 2. Please use this Booking Link to secure a date/time for these trainings/consultations with either Dan Clark or Ashley Kent. The form will ask you to indicate if this is a 1 hour or 2 hour session.

c. Available times that work with their respective calendars are accessible through the booking link.

d. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays they will hold time from 10am-12pm and 4-7pm for 1-2 hour blocks of time.

e. If you have any questions or issues using the booking link, please contact us at voterreview@montana.edu.

3. Please book your times a minimum of 1 week prior to ensure availability.

4. Upon scheduling through the Booking Link you will receive a confirmation email and a Teams Link. Please feel free to add members or guests to the invite as you see fit. If there are specific topics that you would like to have covered, please indicate so on the Booking Submission Form.

8 Credits for Customized Teams/Phone Calls with a Subject Matter Expert (15 Minutes/Meeting)

1. As GOLD Bundle subscribers, each of your jurisdictions has 8 credits for Teams/phone calls geared towards technical assistance. Please consult as a study commission before having 1 person from your commission submit the form.

a. 1 Credit = 15 Minute Phone Call or Microsoft Teams Meeting with Dan Clark or Ashley Kent

2. Please do not call Dan Clark or Ashley Kent Directly to utilize these credits. Schedule through the Booking Link a minimum of 48 hours prior to the desired time.
