Butte- Silver Bow

In 1976 the city of Butte (COM EX) and the county of Silver Bow (COM) voted to consolidate.  7,275 votes for the current form and 11,704 votes for the proposed form (COM EX (C))

In 1986 Butte-Silver Bow voted on one sub-option. Partisan elections (7,214) or nonpartisan elections (7,243)

In 1996 Butte-Silver Bow voted on five sub-options. The first was to retain existing language (4,093) or delete archaic language (7,804). The second was to retain the elected auditor (6,957) or eliminate the auditor (5,510). The third was to retain the assessor (7,210) or eliminate the assessor (5,198). The fourth was to retain the elected superintendent of schools (6,679) or eliminate the superintendent of schools (5,653). The fifth was to retain the elected public administrator (7,404) or eliminate public administrator (4,983).

In 2006 Butte-Silver Bow voted on five sub-options. The first was to retain existing charter language (4,125) or clarify charter language (9,080). The second was should the executive appoint department heads (4,678) or executive contracts with department heads (8,567).
