Old Business:

 

Showmanship Awards- From previous meetings, we had discussed and voted on our showmanship awards being a $30 gift card for 1st place and $20 gift card for 2nd place. The committee discussed with Cody that the gift cards had to be purchased and that there had to be enough for 5 species totaling:  15-$30 and 15-$20

 

Rally and Agility Awards-  We learned that Johnny Schultz could make them with his laser engraver for $20 a piece.  Last year, they were purchased from HCR for $10 a piece. The committee chose to get them from HCR and the Berger family said they would talk to HCR about ordering them.  They would order 3 for Rabbit Agility, and 7 for Dog Rally and Agility. 

 

Buckles- Best in Show winners for each species will win a buckle.

 

Banners-Mandy Eike designed the banners for our best of show winners.  Virgil made a motion to order the banners that Mandy made and Ian seconded it.  Giselle told Angie to have Mandy contact her for payment details.  

 

New Business:

 

Sponsors-A form has gone out to 4-H Small Animal families to find sponsors for our awards.  The sponsorship forms need to be turned in by Interview Day so our sponsors can be included in the Small Animal Show Programs.  

 

Small Animal Barn Set-up-The Small Animal Barn Set-up is the 18th of July at 10:00 a.m.  Seena discussed splitting up the set-up and tear-down so families could choose one day or the other and not have to do both.  She discussed having a sign-up email sent out so families could get signed up.  There was discussion about the rabbit “counters” needing fixed and Seena thought she knew somebody who might be able to help work on them.  

 

Fair Superintendents/Clerks/Announcer-The committee went through all of the species and discussed who would be leading these positions during the fair.

Cat/Pocket Pet:  Chris England-Superintendent and Clerk

Dog:  Nicole-Superintendent and Cheryl-Clerk

Poultry:  Seena-Superintendent and Nicole and Hailey-Clerk

Rabbit:  Delci-Superintendent and Hailey-Clerk 

 

Pictures:  Amanda is set to do fair pictures and Giselle was going to double check how much we paid her last year.  She thought it was $500.

 

Petting Zoo:  Seena described the animals she had lined out and the ones she was hoping to include.
