Travel Requests and Paperwork Protocol
Travel Requests
The Empower Program has a limited amount of funds available to support engineering
and computer science student travel to academic conferences and events. NACOE students
may request travel funding through this application process once per year. Funding
criteria include:
- Enrollment in an engineering or computer science major
- Cumulative GPA 2.5 or higher
- Satisfactory academic progress
- Preference given to students that have not received Empower funding in the past year
**Funding for Society of Women in Engineering (SWE), Out in STEM (oSTEM) and Grace Hopper conferences is not provided through this application process. Please reference the Empower website for these processes.
Travel requests are reviewed by the Empower Student Travel Committee. Students submit requests using this application process. Only complete applications will be considered.
