Current Research Interests:

I am studying the interactive effects of warming and drought on aquatic macroinvertebrate communities using a series of geothermally heated streams in Iceland. My research aims to improve our predictions of how aquatic ecosystems will respond to varying climate change scenarios. To achieve this, I will measure macroinvertebrate metabolism to understand how these two stressors—warming and drought—affect both individual aquatic organisms and entire communities.
