Research Statement:

My PhD work focuses on mule deer population dynamics as part of a statewide mule deer research project in collaboration with Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks. My research on this project aims to better understand population trends of mule deer in relation to environmental variation through time and space, evaluate sensitivity and synchronicity of mule deer vital rates across the state, and examine the costs and contributions of various data inputs for long-term population monitoring to direct future monitoring strategies.
