Current Research Interests:
My research focuses on uncovering details about how invasive rainbow trout in the Flathead river disperse and migrate throughout the hydroscape by retracing their movement using otolith microchemical analysis. Invasive hybridization between rainbow trout and native westslope cutthroat has caused significant loss of cutthroat populations and is a continual risk to their persistence. I aim to better understand their movement patterns to contribute new knowledge about fundamental rainbow trout ecology, and to better inform suppression efforts in the Flathead.
