Dear Bobcat parent and family members,

With spring break next week and many of our students traveling, now is a great time to share some important safety and conduct information. I found the recommendations in this piece, "11 Spring Break Safety Tips for College Students" on the website Collegiate Parent particularly helpful if you'd like to pass it along. ;) Plus, I'd like to remind you about MSU's Code of Student Conduct, which your student is accountable to as a Bobcat even when they are away from campus.

Spring break also means we have less than two months before Spring 2024 Commencement. We hope you will join us for the ceremony on Friday, May 10, at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse.

The 10 a.m. ceremony will recognize students from the College of Arts and Architecture, Jake Jabs College of Business & Entrepreneurship, College of Letters and Science, and Mark and Robyn Jones College of Nursing.

The 2:30 p.m. ceremony will recognize students graduating from the College of Agriculture, College of Education, Health and Human Development, Norm Asbjornson College of Engineering, and Gallatin College MSU.

The Candidate RSVP for Commencement link opened today, March 7. Degree candidates are sent an email with the RSVP link. Please remind your student when they RSVP to indicate the number of guests they would like to attend so that we can ensure there is seating for everyone. Tickets are not required for either Commencement ceremony.

For those unable to attend in person, both ceremonies will be livestreamed. A link to the ceremony livestream will be posted to the Commencement website Friday, May 10. Please check the Commencement website regularly for the most up-to-date information.

If your student is coming home or remaining in Bozeman for spring break, it's the perfect time to get a jump in the summer job search. If they need help refreshing their résumé, they can schedule an appointment with a career coach online or find tips anytime on the AYCSS Résumé and Cover Letter Writing webpage. AYCSS also has a Career and Major Research webpage where your student can learn more about things they can do with their degree. On that page, they can also access O*NET Online to explore hundreds of occupations based on their goals and needs.

Kind regards,
