Montana University System Initiative on Climate (MUSIC)
The Montana University System Initiative on Climate (MUSIC) is an open and inclusive network to share relevant information and resources
about climate education, research and policy issues across the Montana University
System.
Our goals are to:
- Establish a venue for students, citizens, faculty and staff to network and share relevant information and resources about climate change issues across the Montana University System (MUS).
- Discuss how and in what capacity the Board of Regents and OCHE can support climate action across the MUS including for example, the hiring of new FTE to coordinate climate planning and sustainability efforts within and between campuses.
- Offer learning opportunities to share best practices on what is working on different
campuses and what is transferable.
We provide a venue to engage in ideas and actions that promote climate mitigation and adaptation throughout the Montana University System; in fact, its MUSIC to our ears. We seek to establish detailed and updated campus Climate Action Plans for across the MUS (see related links below).
