How do I get a job while in school?

Having a job while in school doesn’t just help pay the bills, it gives you valuable experience. Our Financial Coaches help you determine if you are eligible for Work Study. Our Student Employment Services and HireABobcat programs have thousands of jobs waiting for you to discover, as well as many job fairs throughou the academic year. Our Career Coaches help you polish your cover letter, resume and interview skills so you will be ready and confident for interviews.

Let’s face it, stretching your dollars to the end of the month is difficult, and our Financial Coaches know the tricks to help you do just that. They will help you create and stick to a budget, find other sources of income or tuition assistance, learn about credit, and even help you negotiate your salary or raise.

How do I get help paying for college?

Tuition, books, and housing costs add up. Our Financial Coaches connect you to variety of financial aid options, including scholarships, loans, and grants such as CAT Scholarships and Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE). They also help you sign up for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You may also be eligible for one of the scholarship programs unique to AYCSS.

You may find yourself with few funds to pay for the necessities for you and your family. Our Success Advisors can guide you to resources such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), local food banks, Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), Head Start, and other campus and community resources. Our Financial Coaches can help you budget, plan, and save for these expenses.
