Some of the colleges and departments at Montana State University offer scholarships to students. A limited number are available for incoming students. Not every department participates in freshmen scholarship programs, so be sure to check the website for each program you may be interested in. If scholarships are need-based, you will need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) prior to February 1, 2025.

 

If you are planning to attend MSUas a new undergraduate student,please use the following process to apply for departmental scholarships:

1. Apply to Montana State University.

2. Receive your acceptance letter, which includes your Generated Student Identification Number (GID#).

3.Visit this page to claim your NetID and set your password.

4.Visit the Cat $cholarships page to apply for various departmental scholarships.
