Social Studies Broadfield Teaching – B.S. in Secondary Education (5 - 12), Social Studies Broadfield
The Social Studies Broadfield Education option within the secondary education major at Montana State is specifically designed for students who wish to become licensed to teach the social sciences to middle and high school students in grades 5 through 12. Social Studies Broadfield students are enrolled in a combination of geography, history and political science coursework, as well as education coursework designed to prepare those students to thrive as teachers.
Additionally, Social Studies Broadfield students may add an option in Special Education or add a teaching minor including Art Education (K-12), Biology (5-12), Chemistry (5-12), Earth Science (5-12), Economics (5-12), Family and Consumer Sciences (5-12), French (K-12), German (K-12), Government (5-12), History (5-12), Mathematics (5-12), Physics (5-12), Reading (K-12), Spanish (K-12), and Technology Education (5-12).
