Science Education – Master of Science (M.S.)

The Master of Science in Science Education (MSSE) program at Montana State is an award-winning, interdisciplinary graduate program for both traditional and informal science educators. Online science and education courses are offered year-round, allowing students the flexibility to design an online curriculum that caters to their personal and professional interests. During the summer, educators from all over the world converge on Montana State’s Bozeman campus to experience science through popular field and lab courses that utilize the unique environment of Montana and the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem to teach scientific principles and provide models of field-based instruction. In lieu of a thesis, students plan, implement and present a capstone research project, as well as integrate what they learn into their own classroom or learning environment.
