Nursing Education

Diversify your nursing career by engaging with coursework that prepares you for positions in nursing education across schools and colleges of nursing, as well as larger health care agencies.

Nursing Education – Online Certificate 

In the Nursing Education online certificate program at Montana State, candidates are introduced to education theory as it applies to the healthcare sector. All courses, which range from curriculum development to teaching effectively in a clinical setting, are delivered completely online. An optional teaching practicum is available. The Certificate in Nursing Education is open to all graduate nursing students and nurses who have at least a B.S.N. Completion of the certificate qualifies students to sit for national Nurse Educator certification (CNE).

Distance Learning

Montana State’s graduate programs in the College of Nursing are designed to fit into students’ busy working schedules with distance learning. All graduate courses are offered primarily online, with a variety of class activities that are able to be completed at any time. Video conferencing with faculty and classmates complements the coursework.
