Mechatronics

Combine knowledge across multiple engineering fields to gain a front-row seat in the rapidly evolving world of automation in manufacturing, automobiles, aerospace and more.

Mechatronics – Minor

The Mechatronics minor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at Montana State explores the synergy of mechanical, electrical and computer engineering to position students to design unique and innovative robotics systems, tools, and manufacturing processes.

Each year, an interdisciplinary team of Montana State engineering students designs and builds an autonomous robot for NASA's Robotic Mining Competition at the Kennedy Space Center.
