While an undergraduate at Montana State University, economics and political science double-major Montana Wilson won the prestigious Gates Cambridge Scholarship to fund his graduate education at the University of Cambridge in England. Wilson, an enrolled Gros Ventre of the Fort Belknap Indian Community and a member of the Assiniboine and Sioux tribes of the Fort Peck Indian Reservation, was the first Native American Gates Cambridge Scholar in the history of the scholarship program.
